Just have each fighter have their hands wrapped in front of each other an hour before the fight. It doesn't take a genius. Also, if caught with loaded gloves, automatic 2 year suspension.

It's not that simple. It takes a schooled, experienced guy like Nazeem Richardson to be able to know what actually goes on the gloves.

Part of the problem is that sometimes fighter use too much gauze or tape or put it directly onto the skin, a lot of trainers won't say anything because they might not know how much gauze or tape can be used.

Also, one of the stories that came out was apparently the gauze was covered in plaster, but looked just like normal gauze. In that case, you'd think it was normal gauze going on the wraps.

Have all sancitoning provide a uniform wrap code, and supply the fighters with the wraps and gloves. Also, for every title fight, have a sanctioned officer remove each fighters gloves and wraps and have them examined and taken to a lab for chemical analysis. That would put an end to it.

Just make a rule on how much wrap you can use and how much. And have both fighters use the same wrap picked by somebody within Boxing.

The Commission official should issue the handwraps and gloves.

If they issue sealed containers for the fighters to provide their samples, I am sure they can provide sealed handwraps.

I agree with this, but there is no need to incure the expense of lab testing unless an initial examination shows something dodgy.

If the commish supplies the gauze and tape, and the wrapping is done in front of a member of the commish from beginning to end, then end of story...

But the commish members get a bit lax about the overseeing of the hand wrapping. I know one lazy ass MD commish inspector who thinks because he been with the commish so long, he doesn't have to do anything but enjoy himself.
