...........Nice bunch of talent there. That's what I dislike about my own area, as the only fighter of note from my immediate area is Greg Haugen. I'm sure you're familiar with him John. You were more or less contemporaries.

.............God.........can't remember his name now....Coverson? Junior-lightweight, two time Olympian. I think it was him, or he fought Coverson, one of the two. He hung out there constantly.

..........Davey Lee Amstrong. That was it.

Rumor has it that the #1 choice of activity in terms of providing excitement for local youths there comes down to a tie between "middle of the night cow tipping" and "watching the stock boys unload the Stop & Shop delivery truck on Thursday nights." :)

Jeez, I remember Mylon Watkins. Me and a bunch of my pals in college went to Arizona and stayed at a hotel in Tucson. Me and one other guy were huge boxing fans and they had fights right there in the hotel. PRO fights. it was 86 or 87, not sure which. I can't even remember what the main event was. But me and my friend saw Mylon Watkins fight and thought he was the best one. I haven't heard his name in 20 years. Wow. What happened to him?
