sosnowski - rogan

Sosnowski wins this late. You have to be in dream land to think otherwise. Rogan has done well to beat an old Skelton but what has he got to trouble Sosnowski?

 

I spoke to Rogan's trainer[all be it briefly] a couple of days after the fight. Paul McCullagh [Rogan's trainer] is a friend of my brothers [they are in the same prayer group], and he told me that Rogans injury was not a fabrication and that Martin could not spar or train properly for the rematch with sexton. Paul also has reservations if Rogan will ever be right again when you consider the nature of the injury and Martin's advanced years.

That said if the Rogan that defeated Skelton fights Sosnowski, then its a KO win for the Belfast man.

What do you doubt, the injury claim?. I have no reason to come on here and tell lies, and Paul McCullagh is god fearing man who is not prone to flights of fancy.

Sosnowski is a very active heavyweight with dig, i just feel in a war of attrition the younger man will come out on top, nothing against Rogie who would obviously have a good chance of winning himself if such a war arrised:good

 

My apologies then, I misinterpreted your post. I hope Rogie can overcome his injuries and give it one last go next year. A fight with Sosnowski is more than a distinct possibility.

If I were Sosnowski I'd be looking at bigger (and better) opposition than Rogan, no disrespect intended.

He is the European champion after all, why fight a guy who has back to back stoppage losses to a pretty average Sam Sexton?

The EBU title guarantees a high WBC ranking..... what is to stop him getting a shot at some stage in the future?

 

I can see your logic, but face facts Sosnowski won the title in The York Hall in font of 1000 people, he hasn't got a lot of options in Britain outside of Harrison, and there is no way he is fighting for the WBC next year, so he is going to have to stay busy fighting somebody. Rogan is big box office in Ireland and can draw crowds of several thousand, and Sosnowski might consider Rogan a easy fight for the reasons you stated, so it's a natural fight once Rogan recuperates and gets a warm-up fight under his belt.

 

Yeah, if he is looking at a fast buck it might be an idea he'd consider.

I'll be honest and say that other than the Williams fight, I've hardly seen anything of Sosnowski..... I was bored shitless watching on Friday so turned off.

By the time Rogan gets a warm up fight under his belt, Sosnowski might have been beaten..... hopefully not by Audley though
