One of the best jabbers 112 has ever seen. Very, very talented ability wise. Smart and strong. Could be drained and not at his best, complacent, due to the ridiculously large weight cut.
I think I am most impressed by his balance, foot work/positioning. He always seemed to move back and roll away from punches but still had the balance and positioning to defend, move or attack no matter the situation. He seems to have a cool calm composed demeanor where he seems unflappable regardless of the situation similar to Salvador in that regard. His movement, lower body speed and reflexes seem so effortless and fluid in the way he maneuvers around the ring. I just find him simply brilliant to watch!
Well that's what you learn as a Muay Thai champ! This guy progressed exremely quickly as a result. Unfortunately, one of his best performances is over Charlie Magri lol.
There's a vid of it in good quality, with 1 view. Someone thought it was worth saving, luckily. And Damn you Sot for smashing Magri!
@haNZAgod another awesome highlight mate. Your highlights are such a good resource for newbs getting into more obscure fighters and asian centered boxing. Kudos for making these over all these years. As for Sot himself, he had one of the best jabs ever, as said in my older posts, especially around the lower weights. If anyone is interested in another extremely good lower weight jabber, please check out Joey Olivo. Had a good fight against Yuh iirc.
That’s the tricky bit with the lower weights… how much can be laid at the feet of extreme weight loss? Did Lionel lose to the scales or Rockin Olivares? Same thing with Sot winning or losing.
