Sparring rumourmill

Being a keen follower of boxing on tv but only recently looking at it more closely, I often hear the odd comment on here about famous names having 'problems' sparring e.g. Lewis with Ruiz, hence avoided

So I was wondering who else was reputed to 'given hell' or ktfo a big name.

i know a guy who is my coach's friend, he told me charley burley made sugar ray robinson look silly in sparring.

 

Chad Aquino dropped Juan Diaz badly and was never allowed to spar with him again!!!

 

Chavez and DLH sparred before the olympics. Chavez dropped him in that one.

 

Relentless thats funny you say that i met charley burleys grandson 2 summers ago in pittsburgh unloading frieght from a truck he told me some great stories about how he never made any real money in his life

 

Didn't Greg Page drop Tyson as well? Not that it matters much, if you spar enough rounds against decent opposition you'll get dropped eventually.

 

yeah i think page was the one that dropped him before the spinks fight in 88

 

it was before the Douglas fight...I remember seeing that on legendary nights

 

I heard a rumor that zelenoff might fight lennox lewis or something is there any truth to that could someone let me know
