Flea Man, Who couldn't like the "Spiderman" Spider Nemoto, a 5' 1" 126 lb. 'fire plug', with a non-stop punching style. Not big on the punch, but the Spider had a 'big heart' and an incredible amout of determination. Came over to Panama in September 1973 with Ishimatsu 'Guts' Suzuki. Suzuki got to fight Roberto Duran, and Spider got to take on Ernest Marcel for the WBA Featherweight Championship. The WBA slid Spider into the #10 ranked position, so he they could sanction the bout for Championship. Originally it was to be a 10-Round non-title scrap. The 22 year-old 5' 1" Spider, only with a record of 10-3-1 (1 KO's), battled Ernesto pretty good for '7-Rounds', only to succomb to the heat and Ernesto Marcel and his constant pressure in Round 9.
