The best of what you've seen of Spike so far against prime Macklin, who you's got??????Irelands churned out some good Middles of the last few years and it got me thinking about these two. Macklin more skilled obviously I think, but can Spike turn it in to a toe to toe with Macklin and win ?? I think it would be brutal in there, with Mack winning, don't know how though

Macklin wide UD over Spike who, let's face it, really is pretty poor (hence why the ginger diva wants to fight him).
That Macklin was a solid fighter.... Held his own with Martinez and was robbed by Sturm. I agree... Outboxes Spike to a comfortable decision win.
Ive seen both these guys extensively and there is no doubt in my mind that Macklin, Despite all his flaws, was levels above the hard punching and tough but otherwise very very limited spike.... Macklin beat Sturm in a sensational fight and was on level terms with a prime Sergio for most of their fight.
Yep, Macklin was a solid fighter, had some poor performances against fellas he should've breezed through at times but when it mattered against top level he always put on a good show. Hung with the best until he gassed, that's my only knock, pacing himself a bit better

You think Spike walks through him ?? Mack had quite a good chin while his tank was full, his problem was he would always tire after a wicked showing guaranteed and get hurt by anything
I think that's a little unfair tbh, Macklin imo was better, but I think they might be at the same level there or there abouts, their flaws bring them closer imo..To be levels above Spike, you would have to be better than Macklin imo
