ets just say he had enough pop at 160 to keep taylor from doing anything effective. he actually smacked him a couple of times. i feel apinks was robbed in that fight

It may be the worse fight I have ever seen. At the time I was happy that JT got the nod because I loathe spinks but looking at it objectivly spinks probably deserved the win. He ran a lot but JT just followed him around and even when he was able to cut off the ring he just stared at spinks and didn't throw anything.

Niether guy landed anything very meaningfull but Spinks was landing them little fondlng pitty pat shots that he throws and I remember between rounds, Manny Steward was furious with Taylor for not throwing any punches.

    Such a craptacular fight.

Spinks was throwing meaningless punches all night long, not even to setup bigger punches or keep JT at bay from making a move. It was as if Spinks just wanted to win the fight through compubox numbers, and he almost got away with it.

This fight was horrible, what you should be worried about is missing the undercard of this fight, Pavlik-Miranda...Now that was a ****in fight.

    First we saw this.

And then Taylor and Spinks came out and stunk up the joint. There are really two problems. First the fight was a bore fest. Second, we watched immediately after witnessing an under dog win in fight of the year fashion.

I agree but that's still better than what JT did which is win the fight by being a useless agressor and simply walking forward but not throwing anything at all. I don't think I saw him land a single clean shot the whole fight. At least Spinks was landing pitty pats. To say it was a horrible fight is like saying that niagra falls is a trickle of water.

I remember this fight..It came right after the Pavlik-Miranda fight which made it even more boring...Taylor pulled out a decision..Spinks was running to much IMO!
