Whose stamina is better? Both are know for their incredible conditioning. Has either man tired during fight? (e.g.-was Hatton fading against Collazo, or was it something else?)
This cant be a serious question. Floyd has been known to spar 9 minute rounds. He never goes up in weight between fights either.
We haven't seen Floyd fade or show fatigue like Hatton did against Collazo, but styles of fighting should be taken into account as well. Mayweather picks his shots well and doesn't have a high workrate. Hatton's style requires a lot of energy. Still, when Mayweather has been in more action-filled fights, he doesn't seem tired.
PBF has a slight edge here. Hatton's stamina is no slouch though, I only remember seeing him tired once against Collazo at the end of the fight. Stamina for both won't be a concern in this fight.
Im confident in the fact that most Hatton fans will give PBF his due in this department, but there will always be a couple huggers who have dedicated their insanity to the Mad Hatter and will never admit a flaw in his armor or the fact that PBF is better conditioned. Either way Hatton seems to hold his own and buckle down on his training when the time calls for it, that's something to be proud of and shows major commitment to the sport he loves......well boxing and throwing darts after drinking a couple lagers at the pub.
Speaking in absolutes, I think Hatton could have a bit of an edge in this department. The nature of his style is so explosive and physical that it really requires an extra tank to be able to keep that kind of a frenetic pace for 12 rounds. Mayweather doesn't tire because he uses such a technical game, almost to the point of being very relaxed in the ring with only as much physical exertion as required. We can be sure that he is preparing for Hatton's style so he should be upping the conditioning. Maybe even cross-training with some Greco-Roman wrestlers. :yep
Hatton has good stamina, however getting punched a lot is draining.Floyds conditioning is stellar, but he's always fresh down the stretch because he doesn't get hit too often. As a result, in this fight, Hatton will be slowly worn down and Floyd'll win going away.
Great post I still stick with PBF conditioning is not as cut & dry as we make it mental stamina tires the body faster than physical activity. Take for example when one reads a book or studies in the classroom after a straight hour of that you feel sluggish and unenergized, when I workout or playball I can do it for almost 3 hours straight and feel fresh.
both have excellent conditioning mayweather has been known to have over 15min sparring sessions and hatton never stops but he did fade badly vs urango and faded against collazo
I think if they threw the same amount of punches and fought the same style, Hatton would edge Mayweather. However, at the end of a regular fight, Mayweather is the stronger man pretty easily. Both are really fit boxers though.
