I was surprised to see this. Can't recall ever seeing a standing count in a HW championship fight. Does anyone know what the rules stated for this fight? Where to find it?
The ropes held him up. That's why it was called a KD. Frankly, it was nice to see a ref who didn't panic and stop the fight prematurely.
In most other situations that's waved off. I think giving Fury a standing count and a chance to recover for a fight of this magnitude is the right decision though.
It was not, as he was literally done, and he fell on the ropes like 5 time already. If you get held by the rope is a KD straight away. That was either a KO or multiple KD. You don't have it any other way.
Ref threw him a 17 or 18 second lifeline to recover!!! Fury was just 2 or 3 more clean punches away from being stopped in round 9
