He's a good strong kid, good stable up there and he has a very good coach in Billy Nelson, Ricky Burns is one of the most improved boxers of the last decade, take into consideration were Ricky was when he went to Billy and look were he is now in terms of everything he does regarding boxing ;) as for simmo I expect him to be challenging for titles 12 months from now..

I rate Askin, power in both hands and will trade, good speed for his size, reminds me so much of Enzo a few years ago, I think with the right matches he'll do really well, we need our uk fighters to really start impressing this year, I think this year will be massive with likes of Gavin, Smith, DeGale, Quigg all having huge years I feel..

    Correct

Nick Okoth werent even hurt , for starters he was in there to take alot of punches and survive and thats what he did - might aswell just gave Simmons the win before the bell even rang.

yeah, Okoth, while no world beater, is a capable and experienced survivor and should have been given the opportunity to do so here. Instead, a trigger happy ref pulled the plug and Nick will find himself suspended or whatever for like 28 days. Poor officiating............

Once Ricky Burns faces somebody decent, he's getting stopped or sparked out.

I see a physically fit and highly dedicated man, having abit of success in boxing.

Because their is a loop hole in the game, and his weight division.

get him out on the york hall April 2nd and May 21st card. He looks good but I don't want to see him and Johnson only fighting on Burns undercards.

Yeah I liked the look of him of a guy on his debut. Nice power behind his punches, he could make for a very exciting fighter in the future for sure. Okoth was a great guy to test yourself against the your debut, was a shame about the stoppage and it looked far far too early.
