hard to read into his fight from the weekend much but surely he will get a shot at a british or commonwealth title soon? Askin would be a very good fight for him.

really hope he gets a shot at the british soon, when he first turned over i thought he would be euro champ and at least fight for if not win a world title but things just haven't seemed to go right one way or another for him and now with his age and career so far if he were to win the british title i think that would be a great achievement:thumbsup: imo he just hasn't really improved as much as i expected and fighting him against guys like that fight on saturday isn't really helping him, i think he needs the bigger fights to get up for a fight as we seen against wadi camacho, david graf, noel gevor and i hope he gets them sooner rather than later:thumbsup:

I really want to like Simmons, just because he's Scottish and he's got a bit of an entertaining presser personality but I just can't take to him, in the ring.

Maybe I've only seen him in brawls but there looks to be very little finesse about him.

    Am I missing something?

I think he's crap tbh, really think Okolie would destroy him even now.

Simmons will when fully tuned beat all the uk cruiserweights, he was robbed badly against Guvor in Germany who then lost in Poland, I would love the rematch in Scotland or Matty Askins for the British

Do you think he'd beat Tony Bellew? You'd put him in with Chamberlain?

I think you'll find Tony is a heavyweight but yes Stephen would defo fight him if offered, however a fight with haye or Ward will be more appealing to Tony I'm sure,Issac hasn't any titles but Simmons would take him somewhere he ain't be before, just my opinion

Fair enough, good fights on paper. I'd like to see Okolie tested before the year is out too, so if Simmonds could fight Chamberlain or Okolie this year I'd be interested.

that fight was just a keep busy fight and at least he is being active -- just needs to opportunity now and he seems to up his game when in with a good opponent like in Germany
Hopefully his chance can come in scotland and give the chance for a big card with lots of other boxers getting exposure
maybe spike/5 would show it with him being on just there and askin before that?
