How did you like him allowing close/inside fighting? If there is a Peterson/Khan rematch, would you like him to referee? What would be the odds of him refereeing that fight?
Smoger needs to officiate the Khan / Peterson rematch. Let's see what happens when Peterson tries to infight and Khan shoves down on that neck and shoves with his fore-arms / elbows?
It's nice to let the fighters fight and don't break them right away it's part of the game, I think tho that he should warn them more about locking an opponent hand, and leading with their heads.
I think he could have told Ward to stop clinching so much but other than that he did a fine job as always
Its Obvious Steve Smoger loves what he does... and he does it well.. I was glad to see him at the opening being inroduced as the Ref.. I knew then no one would question Ward's Victory.. I knew their would be in fighting, and down the middle officating.. Hats off to Steve for being a true prfessional..
good perforamnce, he just let them fight out of the clinches and that gave us the best exchanges of the fight. if he broke them up then nothing would have happened at all and it woudl have been boring with Ward only winning by counter punching.
I always enjoy fights with Smoger being the referee. There is a lot of action and he still keeps the fights clean.
