How good is he? Last time out he beat Grant, he's scheduled to fight Daws now. Is Daws too soon for him?
He's a decent pressure fighter. His fight with Grant was a close one, and it depended on what you liked as to who won - Williams being the aggressor, or Grant with the quick combinations on the back foot. I just think this fight against Daws is too early for him right now. Daws to be too busy and too experienced.
Lovely kid is Steve, Been away with him and he's been on a few trips with me boxing.. Game as they come but I honestly think this has come a little bit too soon.. I hope Im wrong though..
I'm a Daws fan...ain't seen to much of Williams. Saw him against Grant. Lenny's not boxed well since he lost to Morrision. Just not been the same fighter but he has grinded out the results. I hope he can come through this fight. I felt he beat Cook...didn't see it as a draw myself. It should be a good fight...either way Williams will come out with head held high imo.
Seen him a couple of times live and on sky, he's decent. Strong boy. Very much in the Shea Neary mould but obviously not quite as good as Jimmy. Might do ok, but Daws should be a little too good for him. Daws W12
Looks a bit like him too don't you think? I feel we could see a bit of an upset in this one, I haven't been too impressed with Daws in the last year or 2, I feel he's been quite lucky, having said that he might just have that bit of know how and experiance to retain again, however I'm going with Williams in this one. Decent scrap for later in July between Nigel Wright and Dean Harrison for Williams vacated English title (also an eliminator)
Steve no relation to Jimmy although he is trained by Jimmy & George Schofield.. Be a good fight and Steve will really give it a go.. Daws has experience and is a good fighter, Im not gonna backtrack but this could simply come down to who wants it more as Daws don't have the best defence and neither does Williams, I guarentee, There'll be fireworks and blood..
