Not necessarily, they might, but often sparring partners are specifically chosen to prepare a fighter for a specific opponent. I've seen a picture of Stevenson with Kovalev together in a gym, but there's zero evidence they've ever sparred.
ok cool, wasnt sure, cuz i know that diell is fighting bika for the 168 wbc belt in dec, so i thought maybe they were sparring together also...it would be nice is we got to see more sparring vids come out, that way we would get to see what it might be like if those 2 fighter fought one day
I think that's why you see very few of these sparring videos between top active fighters. Generally I think the unwritten rule is: 'what happens in sparring stays in sparring', it ain't really good for a guys career to be seen getting slotted in sparring, even though this kinda thing can and does happen to everyone.
ya i know what ya mean, but we all know what happens in sparring is only 10% of what goes on in the ring, i mean in sparring neither guy is going all out..so it would just give us a glimps in how these 2 styles match up, not nessessarily how the fight would go down
