Well we now know why Froch avoided him. Also Stevenson's emergence is good as it throws up another potential opponent for Andre Ward who 1st stopped Dawson. If Froch is smart his best bet is to have a final trilogybfight with Kessler as I know Ward will beat him bad in a rematch be it in the UK, Vegas, Oakland anywhere and I would fancy Stevenson, Hopkins and Groves over him.

Stevenson can clearly punch, but he's not invincible. Froch didn't want to fight him due to a very high risk/reward ratio, there's no change there.

I give Tony a better chance against Stevenson than I do with Dawson. Stevenson can and has been hurt before.

Thanks Olu.I suggested before the Kessler fight that he should take care of business with Stevenson first if they wanted not to be accused of ducking, and Carls reputation has been built on him fighting anybody, justifiably. The fight will never happen now and Stevensons people may accuse him of just that.Fair possibility of a Bellew fight, hope Ward doesn't step up and get to him first.Dont like a Ward fight for Froch, too one sided, also don't want a Kessler rubber.Carls the better man now, proves nothing.

Agree,Bazza. Its a great fight if it can be made.Bit of a challenge for young Hearn also.Wonder if Stevo would be allowed here, because I think he might be tempted.

Both bellew and Stevenson can be hurt has proven in the past but Stevensen looks like he is the bigger puncher of the two. Bellew would have to more than likely box and move for the 12 rounds but i see him getting stooped at some stage of the fight.

Personally think Stevenson is a much more winnable fight for Bellew then Dawson would have been, even after last nights result. Stevenson can bang no doubt, and If Bellew tried to stand and trade he would get ko'd but he has proved in the past that he can box to a gameplan, and I think he has a decent chance if the fight happens.

Bellew certainly has a better chance against Stevenson than he would of had against Dawson.Bellew for one won't make the mistake of underestimating the opponent that was Dawson's main downfall last night.

Will be the underdog rightly so but has the boxing nous to stay out of range & frustrate Stevenson. For Stevenson he will also be pleased he has Bellew as a mandatory challenger rather than Chilemba who is a nightmare to work out.

People are forgetting that Bellew hit hard too. He might not be a one punch knock out guy, but he certainly has power in his punches. I believe Bellew had quite a high K.O ratio in the amateurs, or so I heard. People are overrating Stevenson, just like they overrated Bute.

The cards have fallen perfectly for Bellew now I feel.

If he'd have faced Dawson, he would have been beaten on points and probably not looked spectacular in doing so, so would be out of options after a disappointing loss.

Stevenson has power but very little else IMO and whilst the bookies will have Stevenson favourite I don't see it like that at all. Bellew will stay out of range and as soon as Stevenson forces the fight he will leave himself open and Bellew will punish him - maybe not in one punch or one burst but it will happen because Stevenson has been stopped before against a very average Darnell Boone.

Bellew wins this fight in 5 or 6 rounds.

People on here were saying Stevenson was a bum and that Groves should fight him.

I feel a little vindicated now for saying Carl should push the for Kessler rematch and Stevenson would have been a potential banana skin

Froch avoided him? What on earth are you talking about? Froch had the chance to avenge a defeat against Kessler who held a belt in a massive ppv fight that netted him at least 4 times what he'd of got fighting Stevenson who was pretty much an unknown before last night & that's avoiding someone? Learn the business

Carl could have fought Stevenson instead of Yusuf Mack but I think his promoter sees Stevenson as a high risk fight and wanted to make the Kessler rematch. When all s said and done I am certain Froch will fight a rubber match with Kessler. A ward rematch spells disaster. Ward is getting better Froch is slipping.

Yep,could see why they wanted the Kessler rematch. But I would rather have seen him fight Stevenson.Of course, this means nothing, and I also said as much at the time. But people were scoffing at what I said as though Froch/Kessler was fight of the century and one vs Stevenson was nothing.I think now people wouldn't be so scathing.Interesting to note that none of the scoffers have replied.Dont think Carl himself avoids anybody, and it made more sense to go with Kessler, but it was one Id have liked to have seen.No chance now IMO.
