Interesting thread! I tend to agree with you,basically.By the way Postol is the Ukrainian's name and not Postel. Honour where honour is due.I for one take my hat off to Postol for his victory over the teak tough Argie.Well done job and executed strategy! Postol is a good fighter,but he for sure is no new long reigning champ. I dont try to belittle Postol and his achievements as he beat Mattyse and some decent names like Aydin.And yes,he didnt look that convincing against Aydin,but first you have to beat a crude hard puncher like the Turk.And Postol did beat him. All in all he is a good top fighter but lacks the special magic and outstanding weapons to have a long run at the top.He will be dethroned quite quickly IMO. Nevertheless,he did a great job against the Argie.:good
It wasn't a close fight. Matthysse won 2 rounds, the first and I think the 5th. Apart from those rounds he looked frustrated and the only shots he landed were rabbit punches in the clinch. As much as I like Matthysse he's one of the most overrated fighters of the last few years. People fell in love with his power but as a boxer he's very limited
And because Matthysse didnt get up they think he ko's everybody...:huh. Hes good but damn, hes not a knockout puncher...:deal
it was a poor fight. Mathysse has lost everytime he has stepped up and fought anyone elite and hes also past his best now and been in too many wars. Postol is good but he will lose to most of the elites. I think he will give Garcia a good fight though but he will still lose.
