Holmes beat Ali at their best.. Had Homes subbed in for Jimmy Young and beat Foreman, he's the #1 heavyweight.

Jack Blackburn is the greatest trainer/teacher the game has ever seen.

Angelo Dundee and Ray Arcel are the 2 best cornermen.

    :bump

Joseph Parker would be elite in the 90s. He beats Tua, Morrison, Moorer and Old Foreman. That's a good list of names and certainly better than what Tyson or those above beat.

What about Gushiken's afro? And MUSTACHE. P.S and I agree about Toney. There's info that he massively cut weight from the start of career

Shavers hit Holmes so hard he knocked him out and the canvas woke him up again. People repeat this like it's actually true. Just baffling anyone can be so dim as to actually take that statement at face value.

Tyson beat an ancient washed up Holmes. Just factually not true. You only have to look at Holmes's record and who he fought and beat over the next ten years to see that.

Tyson was an accumulation puncher. He lacked one punch power. Again, factually not true. He had a ton of one punch KOs.

Wlad lacked heart. When did he ever quit? His brother did.

Bowe on the night he beat Holyfield would have beaten any HW in history. Really? On what rationale?

Vitali never actually lost. Err, yeeah.

Insert Name Here was nothing more than a blown up cruiserweight. If a fighter is cutting weight to make 200 and stops cutting weight to compete at HW they're not a blown up anything.

All the best HWs are in the NBA. Just arrogant, Americo-centric and wrong. How many lanky seven footers became ATGs in Ali or Louis's day? None? Alright then.

The problem stems from the fact that afte being out of the gym for 21 months performing with his band he was given two months to prepare. Keep in mind he had already lost his last two fights. Larry admits that he did it for the money. He initially told Don King that there was no way he could be Tyson without any tune up fights or time to train. King responded with about a $3 million promise and Larry apparently said,“Where is Tyson”. According to Larry, king only shortenEd the amount of time he was permitted to train.

It was disturbing, when watching the fight that Larry Holmes didn’t pass the eye test. It was obvious he was not the same guy out there.

His subsequent come back was a much different animal. He took on journeyman and fought regularly and as a result regained some of his pre-retirements form.

Oscar Bonavena is greater then Rocky Marciano... As strange a fact as it may sound if you're an educated scholar like myself its not hard to believe at all and will become common knowledge as time passes akin to Primo>Bowe

Yeah nothing there really went against the consensus. "Bowe on the night he beat Holyfield would have beaten any HW in history" Who the hell says this?
