Alistair, Fabricio, Josh and Brett, there is only 5 weeks to go but the card is off. Go **** yourselves. Not impressed with it being cancelled. It's just unprofessional. Nevertheless, if Scott ACTUALLY promotes it like it should be then awesome. It should be an extravaganza. Two titles fights is a great replacement but Gil was on the card anyway. Diaz and Melendez are legit champs who Scott needs to keep happy. An org is nothing without its champ. If Hendo wins then Reem, Hendo, Jacare, Diaz and Melendez are good faces for SF as a credible org.
It will take four months for the Strikeforce tournament to get its quarter-finals finished. If the winners of the june 18th matches need the bare minimum of three months rest/prep then that means Sergei and Silva are on the shelf for seven months. God knows what happens if they need a medium-term layoff. This delay means that they have no chance of getting this tournament finished before the end of the year...indeed they'll be looking to get the quarter-final and semi-final matches finished. And why have they done this? To include a serial drug cheat whose proven to be utterly unreliable, has no marketablity and hasn;t beaten a ranked opponent since 2006.
