Who do you feel absolutely should NOT be in this tourny? Who in the tourny has no feasible reason to be there??? In my opinion, it is JT. He is on a SHARP decline in his career. He doesn't train and the cowardly lion has more courage than him. The tin man has more heart.
AA is pretty much unproven at 168. Why not him or did you just start out to hate on Taylor? Taylor was seconds away from being the WBC 168 champ. What has AA done at 168? :-(
atsch Your saying that the same guy who was brutally Koed by Kelly Pavlik and took an immediate rematch with him, the same guy who went through the wringer in the second half of his first fight with Bernard Hopkins and wanted to redeem himself in a rematch he easily could have punked out on and fought some mandatory is a heartless coward? He never quit in a fight and the fights he loss ultimately came down to his stamina letting him down so when he got caught(by two big punchers in Pavlik and Froch) he was done. This is boxing, not some video game :nono

no one has no feasible reason to be there, they all bring something thats why they were chosen, but if i had to take someone out its Dirrell, i don't think he's cooked yet, just not ready enough for this level and i think it might be detrimental to his career
I think all of them add a bit of variety. AA should be there, Froch and Kessler. Out of the other three, you could have had Bika, Bute, Green etc instead of either of them.
there's no reason why any of the 6 'shouldnt' win.. all I can tell u is that froch sure as hell wont.
If someone is unproven and doesn't belong into the sixpack, it is Dirrell. Bute should've joined the tournament instead, but as far as I know he demanded too much money...correct me, if I'm wrong. JT has lost to some decent opposition. That can happen if you take the risk to fight good fighters, you know. I still see him as the clear favorite against Abraham (and I'm saying this as one of his biggest fans!). JT is all wrong for AA, he's too big, has a big reach advantage, better boxing skills, is quicker and has more overall talent. BUT: One thing - and you can't take that away from Abraham - is that he has an iron will and is very determined if he has to. Oh, and he's the hardest hitting fighter in the tournament.
I think thats easily handed to Kessler...without a doubt. Abraham is a hard puncher at MW...but SMW is a different story. It took him 9 rounds to put away his last opponent...and went to a UD against a no name that was ready to go. The point is he doesnt have the killer instinct nor the extremely raw power to end someone in ONE shot. AA power has been overrated since his fight with Miranda. Kessler to me has the hardest punch. Then Froch Then AA Then Taylor And I think Ward And Dirrell...maybe Id switch the last two...not sure.
Great post! I can see exactly what your saying, but Dirrell could pull this off and win the damn thing.
I think Dirrell. although he has decent attributes he hasn't beaten even anyone of Miranda's quality. He has a chance due to his style but Ward deserves a shot as a talented American star who has a lofty WBC ranking, but I'd rather have seen Bute in than Dirrell.
Bute will be out there on his own, the WBO champ will do his own thing. The winner of the Super 6 should be Ring Champ at the end.
Bute wasn't even invited because Showtime weren't convincing of his balls to fight the best in the world away from home, after he refused a very substantial offer to fight Froch in England
