Agreed, but let's just be happy there's something to write about for a change, other than Valuev's morphing body that more and more resembles that of a giant sloth.

    Agreed !!

Cant wait to see Valuev Face down once Haye has hit him with his famous Hayemaker punch!

Nobody's done it yet...... but then Valuev has never really fought someone who could knock him out with one punch. I mean the likes of Chageav, Ruiz, ageing Holyfield all had no chance.

In my view belts doesn't matter. There are so many that it's ridicules to use them as a parameter for anything.
The winner of the tournament with or without belts is in my view the best super middleweight in the world.

Not actually saying Ward would say it verbally. Just trying to say the Belt holder who is officially the champ would be a loser of the tourny, if you get the gist of it.....

first of all, this tournament is the best thing to happen to boxing in a long while, however...

one thing that annoys me is when i keep hearing "this will show who is the best super middleweight out there" but it wont will it really, or atleast only for a few months...this tournament will be running for 2 years, in that time what if Bute has a string of impressive wins or Pavlik steps up and looks good or another up and coming super middleweight comes on to the scene, then we will soon be in the same situation as we are now with boxers saying "im the best" and fans saying "well he needs to fight Bute or XXX to prove he's the best" and then if the match-ups aren't made fast then we will never know who is the best and we'll be in the same situation we are now.

But i am so excited about this tournament dont get me wrong.

This is about SMW supremacy not Belts. The belts are a nice addition but this tournament has effectively removed their relevance. What Showtime have done is really make an unofficial 'Showtime' belt for the undisputed SMW champion.

Ofc *some* Bute nut lickers will claim the winner needs to fight him but we all know deep down a) Bute ducked Froch and b) wussed out from participating which tells the smart boxing fan everything they need to know.
