I am hating training because it is so cold you can't get a good sweat going!

Sweating profusely is a good thing. Especially when you are hydrated and keep yourself so. I don't care what anyone says, I believe it helps detox the body.

I hardly sweat when I lift weights. Been doing it for a while though so not really sure if I sweat a lot in the beginning.

15-20 mins into Boxing and I'm breaking out in a full sweat.

I still out perform the other fighters though in exercises so I don't see much of a correlation there. I just always feel like I'm giving it my all where they may not be doing so.

If there is one thing they will teach you in the military, it is to stay hydrated by drinking as much fluid as possible because you will be sweating it out. When you stopped sweating, that was a cause for concern as it can lead to you passing out and the medic jamming an IV in you to re-hydrate you. From that and other things I have read, I can see how the bodies natural ability to cool itself down would be better if it is able to cool itself off more effectively with dispersion of sweat.

personally i think some people are just sweat people. my dad sweats a lot all day long, and he never does much more than eat and sleep. i sweat a lot too, insane amounts in training, and i think its genetic.

That's what I was always told too - which made me feel good, as I am always the sweatiest guy in the gym...

Thats wat boxing does. It makes you sweat

I sweat more when I hit the bag for a couple of minutes, than playing some Basketball for an hour or hour & a half

AJ Liebling once observed how sweating in normal life is seen as bad or unclean but on an athlete a sheen of sweat is almost noble. (not in those exact words)

I'd like to see you in our gym...where the hot furnace air is on despite it being spring..

Sweating is a good indicator as to how your training though. Being an easy sweater myself, I usually burst out after 3 or 4 rounds of jumprope, but it's more beneficial than anything.

Ha! We get days here during summer over 40 Celsius. Inside the gym (no air conditioning, no ventilation, no insulation, basically a brick shed with a tin roof) it gets to the high 40s and up. Basically like working out in a sauna.

We've had people puking and passing out before. The air just starts to get thick and it's a major effort just to breath. Had some pretty crazy sparring sessions when the floor was just slick with sweat and you naturally migrate to the dry spots when your feet slip too much.
