If this is for the WBC title I feel sorry for Carl Froch.

Excellent!! I was hoping that this "retirement" would prove transitory, and thought it would.

Here's hoping Lacy scores the upset over that hype job. People are gonna say it's impossible, but it could happen.

He shouldn't have to beat Pascal and then get a shot at the winner though. He deserves a title shot a lot more than Lacy and even Taylor considering Inkin pulled out twice.

**** Lacy. He sold his brain-damaged soul for more benjamins.

I thought he was genuinely interested in taking a stand against boxing corruption...

This is good news for three reasons:

    1) It is time for JT to get back in the ring, and I would hate to see anything postpone his return.

    2) It's my understanding that the winner of Taylor/Lacy will become the mandatory for the winner of Froch/Pascal. Taylor beats Lacy, Froch beats Pascal, JT derails the Carl Froch hype train.

    3) Zuniga/Demers is off because Canada denied Zuniga a Visa. Zuniga's promoter expressed an interest in Taylor if Lacy did not take the fight. I would love to see Taylor/Zuniga, but not with Zuniga coming off a year long lay off.

This "retirement" was nothing more than a negotiating ploy by Lacy.
