I have watched the Calzaghe/Kessler and Pavlik/Taylor 2 fights back to back about 3 times. I guess this would be called insane reasoning by some. Suit yourself.

He couldn't make the same money against Froch. It seems the TV money here is less for Euro boxers. Which may be the weak link in the system at this time. It is the main reason Pavlik/Abraham hasn't happened yet. Arum wanted Abraham to fight in the US to build the fight. Even talked about Pavlik and Abraham being on the same card at one point, but AA had German TV commitments to full fill.

The guys who claim JT "side stepped" or "ducked" Froch always conveniently neglect mentioning that the winner of Talyor/Lacy will be the first mandatory for the winner of Froch/Pascal. In other words; Carl ain't keepin' that green belt for long!

Taylor is too athletic to be beaten by froch. unlike all of froch's opponents he has actually has footwork

That's the way i see it too. Froch is good from what I've seen, but I doubt if he is good enough to compete at true world class level.

I can't help but feel like this thread is Pavlik vs Calzaghe underneath all the Froch, Kessler and Taylor talk.

    Really?

Kessler is a way bigger man than Pavlik and although Pavlik is a big puncher, i dont think his power travelled to 168 all that well.

Plus Pavlik is pretty 1 dimensional in my eyes....jab,jab, right hand.......jab,jab,hook to the body.

I think whilst Pavlik is all attack Kessler can give that little step back and unload with full power, Kessler IS the better boxer with the better hand speed and footwork.

Kessler i don't think is all that much bigger than Pavlik , Pavlik has almost 2 inchs on him. Sure kessler looks much more muscular but so does Jermaine Taylor and Edison Miranda.

That being said, I really want to see Kessler v Taylor, I think its a coin toss and this fight would answer a lot of questions. I am not a bias blind fan like some thinking it would be a complete blowout for either boxer.

Yeah any Taylor or Kessler threads normally end up that way.

    I say - even fight.

MAybe not - but hard to predict sho will come out on top. It may depend a lot of whether the fight is in Europe or the US.
