I like the Benny Leonard video. He would have done well in the modern era. His style and skills are beautiful for that particular era. He wasn't too keen on holding. Very refined.

Aye, a lot of precise left hand work. Benny nearly always manages to skirt right of Tendlers jab and land his own, sometimes doubling up on it. His balance, anticipation and judgement of range was as good as it gets.
Glad you've found a way, TS, with this new site, to more fully express yourself. As boxing fans, we're the better for it. Few are so passionate, responsible and probing about fighters -- of any era -- and the game. It's important we have Ted Spoon in the sport. It's your dedication that keeps the flame alive.
