    If you pull your left hand back hard after it lands on the 1-2, is that a bad thing? Assume the 1 ( Jab )-2 ( Right Hand ) land very fast.

    are you talking about pulling your left shoulder back as far as possible to generate more leverage for power on the straight?

    Thomas Hearns used to do this.

    manny does this too except he's a southpaw, so it's the right shoulder and right hand that gets pulled back
