Anyone watch Bellator tonight? Decent night of fights, I guess. The story of the night is obviously Curran's defeat of Joe (W)arren, and how horrifically late the stoppage was. That ref had a couple terribly late stoppages tonight, but the (W)arren one was just gross. Probably one of the most violent/gruesome finishes I've ever seen in MMA.

I'm looking at the gif, and not disagreeing with you about that being a late stoppage. I just wonder how far the bar has been raised because of fights like Edgar vs Maynard, or Carwin vs Lesnar, where guys come back from the brink of destruction to win.

Not to mention the fact that Joe himself has come back from ass pretty bad kickings in the past.

Curran would be a solid addition to the UFC fw division.

    I thought Curran looked excellent , he's a solid FW !!

The stoppage was one of the worst ive ever seen in my life (referee) , Joe ****** wasnt really in the league of Curran and im unsure why they considered him for such a fight

Sidenote : Curran's finishing ability in my book just rocketed , i mean that was just lethal

I think the problem is the guy was still standing...

anybody remeber a fight when the ref stopped the fight while the fighter loosing was still standing....

    Can't remember... !

But don't get me wrong, late stoppage for sure !

I was screaming for that ref to stop the fight at least 20 seconds before it was...just terrible.

Joe is an MMA fighter who's a candidate for punchyness. Incredible in 10 fights the amount of damage he's taken.

Curran has looked monsterous against Sandor and ****** now. Shame the Bellator champions contracts appear to tie the man in forever, as he's undoubtedly one of the best 145lbers in the World, well-rounded and needs to be in the UFC.

This should be a good season! Good thread :good
