hmmm. interesting. it's pretty much the same as an inclined or declined bench press though. can't determine which one

Looks like a great exercise, but doesn't it kill your back?

Na it's ok on your back actually. I do tabata(sp) sets, so 20 seconds if fast reps, 10 seconds rest. The most sets I've done like that is 5. After that I'm totally ****ed. It is kinda like ab inclined press but it hammers your legs too. After doing a few sets you can really feel of on your calfs.

Why not just do clean jerk and press?

Yeah we do clean and jerk press but it doesn't **** us like the death press. The max I've done is 40kg:

Looks similar to "thrusters" done with dumbbells. And yes, they are a killer exercise.

The death press was alright Glen, but I'd say it was the camera work that made that clip look so alive.

It's a bit like clean and jerk, only controlled and safer. Either way it ****s you up, I do 3 sets of 10 with 20kg on the slider. You can also adjust the muscles you work, if you put your feet further back you can get a full shoulder press in, or you can move in a step and go lower on the squat part.

nothing beats the good old olympic movements and basic powerlifting movements, so while it may be a decent exercise you invented, there is really no need to invent new things

I wish every human that ever lived had the same attitude as you. At least that way there wouldn't have been a keyboard around for you to type that **** up on.
