Good and terrible. Demspey is basically being made out to be a saint, helping damsels in distress, beating up bad guys and then making sure they are okay all kinds of weirdness like that but at the end of the day...it's about Jack Dempsey...in the future. McGrains actually scary, he goes from well educated boxing scholar who can break things down in great depth and accuracy to mentalist/schizofrenic in what I'm guessing is a couple of nips.
you love him but you don't think he's a top 10 HW, you get in a pages long debates about him and wills and greb and all that? You're either crazy or have a commitment to objectivity that is making my brain curl up into a ball and sing david bowie's greatest hits.
It's like this. Dempsey looks frighteningly good for spells and has perhaps the best back story of all the great HW's. He's a real favourite on the board which has led to a persistent over-rating that I hate.
Word, although I think Johnson's back story with the battle royales and whatnot is incredibly bad ass and could probably use a more objective look instead of some of the free passes he gets for avoiding his kindred spirits. I guess the same would go for Dempsey too, though. If anything i'd say dude's reputation has taken an acute butt pounding in the last few months. I really don't think you can support him in a matchup(even on just a styles basis) without the mongchilles brigade coming in hot.
That works both ways. It's definitely as polarised as i've seen the board, it's a really crazy issue now.
