One of my favourite fighters and I hope he can string together a few wins in hopefully a more cerebral style. That might be less fan friendly but he wont last much longer if he wants to slug it out with the best of them like he has.

Either way nobody can say Mick has dodged any fighter. Alot of fighters could learn something from that.

As an amateur mick was an excellent boxer who coincidently had power. He was one of the better technical boxers in the country as an am around the turn of the century but seemed to abandon his boxing for a more crowd pleasing style in much the same way Gatti did.

I think it's safe to say Mick's days as a world class fighter are over but if he does continue it would be nice to see him use a bit more of his boxing and take a few less clean shots. This might help him get a few more years out of the game and also another couple of decent paydays. If any Aussie boxer deserves it, it's Mick.

I met Mick in Toowoomba at the pub when I was watching the PAC vs Marquez 4 fight and he said he was hooking up with Lewis. Great guy I wish him the best.
