    Agreed,

Although men like Mike Weaver did not use drugs, gamble with whores, drink like a fish, or slack off during training, his career was hindered by injuries, poor management and even bad officiating by the judges and referees. He's also a little bit older than some of the others and actually started his caeer around 1973 or something. Tillis did not reach the heights that Cooney, Witherspoon, Berbick or some of the others did. He was a Bob arum promoted prospect who more or less was protected until he was handed his first loss, then his true colors showed. I don't think he makes the ranks frankly.

The real lost generation of heavyweights to me is comprised of Dokes, Witherspoon, Page and Tubbs. They all had varying degrees of talent but mismanagement and lack of personal drive and ambition led them to blow it big time.

"Page & Berbick" are now part of the dead generation......

I hear that Spoon and Tubbs are now trainers.....

Cooney is supposedly involved in seeing hurting ex-fighters find work.... I'm not sure if Cooney is still in that bidness today.?.?

Carl Williams was or still is a security guard for a company.......

The rest of the lot, Who knows???
    :huh
