Long armed punchers usually go on to very successful careers. Sadly Miranda is the exception. About four years ago he made is debut in the US against a handpicked opponent who had been knocked out three times previously. Wouldn't you know it, Miranda couldn't hit him and goes the distance. After knocking out about 20 bums, the truth was finally exposed. How many more times do we need to see this clown embarrass himself? He never learned the fundamentals and he never will. This is very sad because this is a man who had the potential to become one of the biggest draws in boxing.

He certainly never did what a lot of folk thought he would.I always thought him overated and did think Pavliks win over him was blown out of all proportion.

Basically this guy Miranda was taken seriously when he beat a shot Howard Eastman who would have destroyed Miranda in his prime. Ever since then this guy has been so ovverated it is unbelievable. At least before he used to fail at the championship level now he can not even deal with rookie contenders.

You should NOT be using terms like "rookie contenders" to describe Ward. He is probably the best pure boxer in the division.

It is fair to say he is up and coming and his record consist mainly of cans and journey man. I think Ward is a good boxer and has a bright future but Miranda is considered in to high a regard for my liking.

Seriously if Green had just put him away in the 8th round thus hype job would probably not be so talked about.

Miranda lost his confidence after he was knocked out by Pavlik and Abraham. Those were some brutal knockouts. He doesnt believe in himself anymore.

That's true, but there's more to it. His game is lacking in so many areas. Not much of a jab, absolutely no defense, no combination punching, poor job of cutting off the ring, no ability to make adjustments. Considering all this, and the beatings he's taken at the hands of Pavlik, Abraham and now Ward, it's somewhat amazing that he's made it as far as he has.

Its funny it took Miranda getting a 12 round boxing lesson for people to say he is finished, not all the KOs from Pavlik and AA. Ward is getting the RJJ and FMJ treatment. He beats people so bad that folks start saying they were never good.

That exact same version of Eastman that Miranda stopped in 7 went the distance with Abraham in a competetive fight.

Green did not stop Miranda because he could not, and I don't care how many excuses Green makes.

Abraham/Miranda I was quite possibley the worst case of poor officiating in the history of boxing. Try to imagine Smoger letting that **** happen!

When Miranda was coming up he was an exciting puncher that showed potential. Unfortunately for him and his fans he simply has not devloped to the next level. However, he is still a very good win on Ward's resume'.

Miranda has balls. Who else faced Pavlik, Abraham twice and Ward, all undefeated?

I agree. He ate CATS to stay alive on the streets. People here have no respect for professional boxers.

Hell, using the logic the Hatton haters use, Miranda needs to retire - he has more than two losses and is washed up.

There have been many boxers who rose from the gutter. Perhaps that is more reason (not less) for them to be diligent with their training and to learn the skills they need to be successful.
