PLEASE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS THREAD IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN A FULL RICKY HATTON FIGHT IN THE PAST & DIDN'T SEE THE FULL HATTON VS PAULIE FIGHT TONIGHT!

Do you like the changes Mayweather Sr. has made in Hatton's style?
Do you think Mayweather Sr. & Hatton should continue to work together?

He dominated Paulie tonite, so I voted for the 'Like him even more etc...' because he looked much better than he did against Lazcano. Ricky was working with Mayweather for only about 7-8 weeks so it hasn't been a long time for Floyd Sr. to build up a defense for Ricky that he won't throw out the window to brawl. I think in time Ricky can adjust as many fighters have done in the past, although I highly doubt he'll ever be known for an incredible defense as he would have to fight un-Hatton-like.

Unfortunately I don't believe Joe was amatuer slapping Roy in their fight. That was simply one man putting on the pressure, while the other went into a shell causing him to in fact look like a shell of his former self. Calzaghe/Hopkins is a different story though, that was a bit too slappy for my taste.

Back to the Hatton/Mayweather camp; I'm interested to see what will happen down the road.

I voted that I like the team. Hatton showed a few things in there that were nice to see and clearly Mayweather influence. Patience, pacing, some head movement, jabs.

On the other hand, there was also a lot of the old Ricky in there. Agressive, strong, relentless but also a little open and overeager to rush in.

I think that the biggest potential gains from this new May/Ricky team comes for the next fight. Can Mayweather encourage Ricky to stay off the bottle and out of the curry shops and maintain a healthy weight in between fights? If so, Hatton will surely be able to further improve his conditioning and absorb a lot more of Floyd Sr.'s peerless teachings.

I didn't see anything new tonight. I knew hatton's pressure and quick
spurts would penetrate weak ass paulie's one hand. This fight was over
b4 it started. Hatton was in great condition and was reborn after a focused camp w/ a new trainer. A trainer who made hatton beleive he was doing something else. He wasn't. He was just fighting his best fight
tonight. A very focused ricky hatton is still the best 140 lb'er on the planet.

    yup

Bazooka emailed me his PB account to photoshop some of his pictures, when i go in the page the first 10 or so pictures are of naked little girls, not babies but girls looking as if they are aged around 3-4?

well a few minutes later they were deleted.
