Ike Ibeabuchi may be out of jail next month (may 2012) and the most solid rumour is that a fight in Bahamas is being lined up already against Sherman 'the tank' Williams in late 2012/ early 2013.
Other rumoured opponets for his comeback include James Toney, Francois Botha, Holyfield, kevin Mcbride and Matt Skelton. But the Brawl In Bahamas seems most likely.... the hometown hero vs the bad boy just released from jail, the nigerian vs the bahamian. Sherman Williams vs Ike Ibeabuchi, id pay anything for a ticket to that.
whoever he fights i cant wait to see Ike back in the ring.

Ibeabuchi is the most absurdly overrated HW of all time. Two fights against live bodies and people think he's gonna be a factor. :rofl :rofl MAYBE he'd be cannon fodder for somebody like Seth Mitchell, but that's about it.

He probably won't get paroled, and if he is he will get deported and won't be able to get a US fight.

He has always been overrated, and now he's almost 40 and out of the ring even longer as George Foreman was... No way he has a shot on the world stage.

You have to put things into perspective. Rahman got multiple titleshots (and he may get one more against Povetkin), and this is all based on one lucky punch landed ages ago against Lewis (wait, it was almost about the time Ike got jailed). Exception? Well, Briggs got two titleshots based on disputed decision against ancient Foreman in another century.

I'm far from saying Ike could be a factor. On the other hand, if you look at Klitschkos opponents, half of them is close to 40 or seriously overweight... so whatever happens with Ike it just can't get any worse than that. Is it that difficult to win 4-5 fights with complete bums (like already mentioned Briggs) and just wait for the opportunity? And against Klitschkos (or Povetkin, or half of HW top10) he does need to bother about US visa for obvious reasons.

Source? No way Ike is getting out of jail.

  12. Ike always was a true barbarian and he rapes every woman he meets so I would also love to see $uper $eth Mayhem Mitchell crack the old perv and leave him shaking on the canvas in a puddle of his own blood and ****.

to say that ibeabuchi would have been the greatest heavyweight ever or other superlatives like that are obviously huge stretches, but frankly to deny that he had serious potential and showed much promise destroying byrd and warring with tua, is ridiculous

I'd guess Ike would take being called "The President" as a slur nowadays.
Ike's monarchy complex still feels like a breath of fresh air.Ike is full blown royalty.
Please afford him his title and the respect he deserves.

like i said its a RUMOUR, its on other forums, along with rumours of Ike vs the other fighters i named. Didnt say it was confirmed of course its not. But out of all the rumours this 1 seems most likely (Ike would be allowed to fight in the Bahamas). If i was to make things up id pick someone other than Sherman Williams. Also Seth Mitchell is as talentless as Tyson Fury.
Ike WILL be free next month.
