He's been inactive, and only just appeared on American TV for the first time, but has long regarded by diehards as being in the same class as Martinez. If you don't know who he is, it means you're a newcomer to the sport or a casual tip-of-the-iceberg fan. Those getting him "confused" with other people were clearly joking, and it clearly sailed over your head.
