Great interview, great perspective and insight on a few things, if you have an hour to kill I recommend watching.

Overeem is part hype, part substance and I do buy into both. He has some VERY serious potential. His striking is world class, that much is proven. His ground game is not too shabby. If he can continue to improve and put it all together in defining fights then some people are in trouble.

Thats what I was getting at, outside the ring I'm a fan now, Thats not to say I'm not a fan of his inside just wanted to point out that he seems real level headed and genuine. I like it. kinda the anti-Diaz hahahahaha (thats for Beebs).

Dana White is being dishonest in his assessmnet of Reem.

He beats Buentello, a guy the UFC happily used to re-establish Struve and Kongo. He beat Hunt, a guy the UFC used to bump McCorkle into co-main event. Despite not having the W, he was dominating CroCop, a guy the UFC has used many obvious reasons. However it wasn't until Reem threw Rogers like a rag doll and was successful in K1 that people really bought the hype.

Reem wouldn't be considered special because of the opponents he has beat. It is the way he has beaten his opponents. His seek and destroy style is attractive.

I love how people think fighters they don't like can't improve and get better.

I like Overeem as a person (due in part to the videos) and as a fighter. His style is extremely appealing to fightfans.
