For the record I can't stand Joe Calzaghe! But how in the hell are all these people going to call for a fight between him and Dawson. I don't like the man but it is ridiculous to act like he has to prove anything else. Everyone said Lacy would beat him and he won, everyone (including myself) thought Kessler would win and Joe beat him. The list goes on. I want to see him lose and I would love a fight between him and Dawson but if he doesn't fight Dawson I completely understand. He doesn't have to prove a damn thing. The people that say he has to fight Dawson are the same ones that three days ago were saying RJJ would beat him. And if Joe did beat Dawson you people would just find someone else that Joe would have to fight to "prove" himself.

I am a huge Floyd fan and it is the same exact thing. There is always going to be "someone" else. The fact is you just want to see Joe lose and there is no stopping you from calling for another fight until he does lose.

Calzaghe doesn't deserve respect until he gets "exposed". Then everyone will overrate the joung gun who beat him, as long as he's American.

Personally I don't think Dawson is ready for Calzaghe anyway. Bad Chad doesn't have the experience. Joe would just turn up the heat in the mid rounds and take a clear UD becasue Dawson wouldn't know what to do with him. That's my take anyway.

that exactly my point. heaven forbid you retire undefeated because then your just ducking every decent boxer in your weight class that you haven't beaten yet. but if you have a loss, then **** it your free to retire whenever you want

The simple truth is that some ESB members are just not man enough to give Joe any credit for anything he does.

You tell me. He gets a controversial win against hopkins and a win against a way past it Jones. Plus he is a cherry picker. That's enough to solidify a legacy?

Only a win over the next big American thing is enough. Of course, once he beats him, it means nothing; there's always someone else waiting around the corner. And so it goes on and on.

Being an unbeaten world champion for over ten years, beating everyone worth beating cements Joe's legacy just fine.

Doesn't really matter what your or I or anyone else say or think about Joe, he has nothing left to prove to anyone. He is probablly the best super middleweight there has ever been.

Exactly, no win is good enough. The same thing happens with all of floyds wins too

I agree with you there, I would love to see him and Dawson go. I would love nothing more than to see Calazaghe get smacked around by someone. I just hate how people are never satisfied with wins..

Calzaghe cant win with some of you guys...you take a dislike to him soooo go back to a time when jones could throw more than 4 punches a round...Give Joe some credit for being an unbelievable fighter and no question an all time great....whether they were in there prime or not, to dominated jones for 99 percent of the fight and beat hopkins who showed he was still world class against the boxers with the girls name!!!

You guys were all bigging up Jones and how he was gonna win by KO and now all off a sudden Jones is washed up....IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!!!

Watch Calzaghe with your eyes and not your hearts!!!

I'm fine with Calzaghe's legacy if he retires now. But my appetite wants more. Not that i want him to get beat.
