Absolutely Full of Froch's timely (overdue) retirement, barely a mention of Terry Flanagan, Britians latest World Champion. And the renaissance of British boxing. Shame really. Wonder how much Matchroom are paying for this..
Carl Froch was one of the biggest stars in British boxing. A world class fighter for a decade, and of recent eras, arguably had a resume run, that was superior to any other modern British fighter. Flanagan deserves kudos too, but the sport has lost a domestic icon, and the trade paper is rightly focusing on that this week.
You should see it though, it's literally All Carl Froch, and an article with Crolla, the only mention of Flanagan is in The 'Action' section.
1) Carl has probably bought every copy in Nottingham. Ego! 2) The magazine is rubbish these days. Much prefer BM.
Well let us hope Flanagan gets his revenge in around a decade's time: Announcing his retirement as one of the finest domestic fighters of his era, and thus overshadowing a new world title holder from the UK.
Froch is a four time world champion, Flannegan just one the WBO title (the worst of the four) in the worst possible fashion. They are hardly going to attribute their whole magazine to a fighter who has yet to be tested.
