    Weird follow-up question. :blood

Even if the answer was nobody, being the best in one weight class doesn't automatically qualify "best PR fighter today".

As it is, I'd favor both Cotto (by a large margin) and Quintana (by a small one) at either 147 or 154.

Lopez is flawed but still probably the greater overall talent p4p.

Calderon certainly dwarfs him in terms of boxing skills.

Like I said, top five among active boricuas, but there is at least one clearly superior talent in his own division, let alone all of boxing.

You're lucky this is a thread about a Puerto Rican fighter. There's almost no chance any of the Polish will see that.

You know something, I don't even disagree. Cotto would almost certainly be floored by Cintron. He wouldn't get stopped though. Cintron only looks like a monster finisher against deer-in-the-headlights types like Matthyse. A warrior like Cotto will get up and put it on him - Kermit doesn't much like that kind of dogged persistence.

    Thoughts on Cintron...

I think his toughness is slightly underrated.... He's shown in the David Estrada fight that he's willing to go toe to toe with you.. Even though that's not what he should be doing.

Against Angulo, it was a mixture of a couple things. 1. Angulo had a bad night... 2. Angulo's style made it easy for Kermit to land.. Like I said before Angulo and Margarito are very similar. The biggest difference is that Angulo is a little more polished AND Angulo, while a pressure fighter, isn't as relentless as Antonio. Which showed against Kermit. BTW Kermit had Angulo hurt more than once in the fight.

    With Martinez, who knows..

With Paul, he didn't jump out the ring, lol.. If you were watching that round they were both landing in exchanges. But it was Kermit that was getting the better of the 2. And in the early going, Cintron was landing some decent shots and countering well.. Paul wasn't doing all that good in the fight...

My thought is this... Cintron has talent... Has real punching power.. But mentally, he's not the best.. It's not that he lacks heart, it's the decisions that he makes..

Fighting inside with Jesse Feliciano instead of keeping it to the outside so you can end the fight sooner..

Taking a knee against Martinez thinking it was a headbutt but the ref didn't break up the action and give Sergio a warning.

    Among other things...

Outside of Ivan Calderon and Juanma.... Cintron is up there...

  10. Dude couldn't move for 5 minutes, but where is the injury report? What hurt him so badly that he was unable to continue against Paul Williams? What is this mysterious impairment?

The truth is, we won't know exactly what injuries he sustained in that fight until we receive a report from his gynecologist.

Kermit Cintron is a disgrace to bitches.
