I remember about 3 or 4 years ago there was a lot of hype around this kid. He seemed like he had the potential to become a big name because of his style and personality from what I remember. Then he had one setback against Luevano back in 2008, but hes since become the IBF Featherweight champ. Hes not as sound fundamentally as some of the other champions, but he has an awkward style that can cause certain guys a lot of trouble. He also seems to have improved his a bit. A fight with Mickey Garcia could be entertaining.
I saw his fight on the weekend. It was like a man v boy. I've no idea of his opponent - an Italian undefeated bloke - and whether his record was a bit padded, but he wanted no part of that fight, and just gave up after being flooreed with a body shot in Rd 1.
I thought so. I could have put my gloves over my ears and let Dib wail away on me too. I wonder how much he got paid. Got dropped by a pretty good body shot, and just sat in the corner, looked at his corner and just shook his head and sat there while being counted out.
