I admit I did not think Floyd would KO Hatton. I predicted a UD, but not a KO.

    Thoughts?

I didnt expect a KO either, it was close up until the last couple of rounds. Then came the KO.

Now we have to listen to Mayweather some more.. ughhh...

Congrats to both fighters. There will be posters who spout off about how Ricky was exposed and blah blah blah but in the end two good fighters squared off, and one just happened to be better. No fault of the other, and both deserve credit for a supreme effort. How can we ask more of anyone?

Cortez ****ed Hatton up, didnt let him fight his fight and let PBF get away with a few fouls.........................

LoL just kidding, PBF fought a great fight, Hatton looked waaaaay to anxious, left himself opened and PBF defense and accurancy was the factor, and also proved that Hatton dont belong at 147. Looking at PBF tonight made me rethink how a Cotto/PBF fight outcome would be............hats off to PBF

Same here. All my post says it's gonna be PBF via decission.

But I like I said Hatton will received punishment and power punches when he tries to come in, and it did happen.

Props to Floyd...Hate that motha****a...but you gotta hand it to him.He handled his business tonite.Outmuscled,outfouled...and finally outboxed Hatton.Ricky suffered for the weight differentia...he's not a welterweight.Cotto on the other hand...is another matter.

Either way...I still don't think he could have beaten Mayweather any other day...with hindsight.Mayweather proved he can do a lot of things....

    Props.

I once wrote an article on ESB when they had just made this fight. After being accused of being a biased american (Im British), I always held the belief that Mayweather had too much for Hatton. I wanted to see Mosley or Cotto because frankly Floyd deserves the best, and IMO Cotto and Mosley are way better than Hatton. Floyd is THE best p4p boxer at the moment. Congratulations to him.

add me to the list of fans who didnt expect ricky to get stopped. congrats to floyd and it was refreshing to see him show some class post fight. i think he deserves his #1 ranking and i hope he goes on to face his top challenges so he can find his place amongst the true greats. i do hope he realizes that he doesnt need the attitude to sell fights and starts to pick up more fans. if he can stop cotto he would certainly belong with the other big names who have come before him.

PBF made Hatton to appear a very one dimensional fighter. Totally predictable. He was very mediocre against someone with vast superiority. I don't understand why he releases such wonderful combos in the dressing room, then does absolutely zilch in the ring!

The pre fight hype was terrific and PBF gave the world a wonderful view of his incredible talent.

I was very impressed with PBF's post fight demeanour. Hatton's, left much to be desired! He's dropped in my estimation of him as a man! (Remember, I am/was a Hatton fan, but sportsmanship is bigger than the man!) :nono

Cortez is past his sell by date !

Oh yeah, you can check my post. I never, ever set here and hated on Hatton but I knew a PBF KO was coming for the books. My only fault was picking round 7 instead of 10.
