Kell's career is stalling of that there is no doubt. He has one legit world class win and considering his age, defences and amount of time he's held the title, his progress has been unacceptable. However, why are you so willing to give Thurman a pass? What's he done to warrant such hype? His much vaunted 'power' appears to be little more than hype, having not come anywhere close to KOing anyone since slightly stepping his comp up and he's still yet to face anyone near as accomplished as Porter. He's a beltless Haymon hype job until he proves otherwise and judging by the way things are going that's not going to be anytime soon.
I agree and it seems thats the norm now for fighters to avoid any challenges. There is far to much interest in records and keeping an 0 and too much criticism for a loss and thats the media and fans fault.

Ah right, I think he couldn't be bothered entertaining Ward's delusions. He rightly guessed that Ward wasn't coming back to 168lbs after such a long lay off and with hindsight we now know he was right. Well, I've entertained your attention starved self enough for today but here's my final thoughts. I'd say it's likely that he decided to retire after being told by Eddie that he wasn't willing to outbid Jay Z to bring Ward over to the UK and wasn't happy about having to send Froch to Jokeland to fight in front of six people whilst Roc Nation hoped that Froch's appeal would sell it as a PPV. Thus he decided to retire as about to turn 40, he thought enough was enough. Evidently that wasn't enough for you, warrior that you are.
