Just seen Brian Custer interview Thurman on the last stand.

Seems as though that fight is next for Thurman’s comeback albeit not yet signed.

    Who you got?

Thurman 12 UD, Ugas coming off a debilitating injury at the hands of Spence

Honesty I’ve wanted this fight for a year or 2 to gauge where Thurman is presently.

Tons of respect for Ugas. Ugas is an awesome fighter and I would be rooting for him.

Thurman has all but confirmed it in the interview. Im expecting that would be the fight to get him back in the mix. Pacquiao beat Thurman, Ugas beat Pacquiao. Pacquiao retires so next best thing would be Ugas in order to propel him towards title contention. Although Spence and Bud are now locked in for two fights, maybe a third depending on how those fights go it could be a long way back for Thurman without even a whiff of a title shot.

I believe Yordenis Ugas may also be past his best days.

Idk how this will all shake out!

I got Ugas, dude beat Pac. Just because Spence beat the living dog **** outta him doesn’t mean Thurman will win. Spence might have took the fight out of Ugas though. Def a quality win for Spence.

Fight makes a lot of sense.

Winner goes on to get another big fight.

The loser has to think about where they go from here, especially if its Ugas.

This is his last roll of the dice unless he wants to become a gatekeeper

Ugas takes this. Thurman was much better at his peak and needs more than just Barios from a year ago to prepare for this fight. I don't buy that Ugas is past his best just because he was stopped by Spence. People need to stop thinking everyone is on a down trend after every loss.

If Thurman lasers in on Ugas right right eye then the fight will probably play out similar to the fight with Spence. Possibly the ref, the doctor or the corner stopping the fight due to damage or a closed eye. I don't see Ugas being finished though. Even when they stopped the fight against Spence, Ugas was pissed and wanted to continue.
Ugas Stands a solid chance and could easily bring out the worst in Thurman. This fight seems like it could be cut down the middle imo.

I think it's fair to say that Thurman's best beats Ugas' best but here's the thing, we haven't seen Thurman's best in more than six years! Since split decisioning Danny Garcia in March of 2017, he won a split decision against the past it Josesito Lopez, lost to Pacquiao and decisioned Mario Barrios, a man who had been stopped by the much smaller Tank Davis seven months earlier.

Thurman hasn't had his heart in boxing in a long time and I see a man who is as serious about his profession as Ugas is decisioning One-Time relatively handily.

I think Thurman still has enough in the tank to beat Ugas. I think it would be a good fight if it happens.

    This fight is a joke.

    Spence literally broke Ugas.
