Souths had a mountain of posession throughout the whole game, fatigue would have played a huge factor. At 18 - 6 down, Souths had 6 repeat sets of 6 on Manly's line and didn't even look like scoring. I was certain then that we would not only lose, but lose by more than 12. I think Souths just wanted the win more tbh. Win or lose and Manly would still be 2nd on the ladder, Souths had to win to keep control of their own destiny. Souths best win since reinstatement! :deal

Right?... so Manly lost games once Menzies ( the second highest try scorer of all time) Orford (their highest paid player) Matai (Nz international) didnt play til 8 weeks into the season? Wesser better hit top form because another gun fullback has hit the scene in jarrod sammit.And he can kick goals extremely well aswell which gives him a big tick.. I hope the bunnies make the 8,they deserve it.Have atleast been consistant,even when they have lost this year it hasnt been by large margins. One thing i know forsure is that souths have the defence required for the big games,whether they have the attack is the other story.
Onya Oz. :good Sammut is a rising star, but needs to bulk up a bit and work on his defence. I'm sure there'll be room for both Wesser, and Sammut in the team next year. Also, I think you guys will win one out of your last 2 games and let Newcastle take out the spoon.
Sammut needs to bulk up and not kick and chase while the defence is 10 metres away waiting to tackle you Jennings is the rising star in the Panthers, easily the Comps "Rookie of the Year" Wesser wont be back until 08 sadly :-(
