Perhaps the most accomplished of the top Junior Welterweights in the world right now, scheduled to fight Devon Alexander next time out. Where do we picture Timothy Bradley being this time next year? I think he has tremendous hand speed, and I like his technique and determination. He seems to commit to every punch, throwing with mean intentions. An extremely fit fighter, too. Doesn't like to take to many breaks. On the other hand, he's been hurt in the past, and has never really been totally dominant against top flight competition.

Is Bradley capable of putting on a spectacular showing against one of the top 140lbs fighters in the world, or is he just a "good" fighter who's destined to be overtaken in the future by the likes of Amir Khan or Victor Ortiz?

I would say that one of his biggest issues is a lack of bad intentions and commitment to punches. I don't see him throwing much leverage into his shots nor do I see a bloodthirsty mentality. Very strong will, no doubt, but bad intentions and Bradley are not things I group together.

He will beat Ortiz and Alexander. Khan will edge him.

Well, Addie, he's fast, but I've seen faster. He's skilled, but I've seen more skilled. He's short, but I've seen shorter. (Baby Jake) He's bald, but I've seen balder (Hagler).

If Bradley beats Alexander he wont get passed Khan.

    Khan 5'10 Bradley 5'6

He is a solid fighter all round and will this come back from a defeat, but i dont think he would be really effective above 140 due his size and power.

Timothy Bradley doesn't "sit down" on his punches as much as he'd like, by his own admission, but he throws with mean intentions. That sounds like a contradiction, but all of his punches are snappy, and he follows through.

Absolutely, the idea that Khan wins based on his size alone is short-sighted.

Khan with his wins over Maidana, Kotelnik, and Malignaggi I would say has a better 140lb resume than Bradley. But I guess Bradley's longevity in the division has to count for something.

Perhaps, but he was on point. The previous post was stating each fighter's height as if that would be the determining factor, and I don't agree with that at all.

Holt is 5'10" and was a huge hitter at LWW. Bradley even got brutally KD in the first round and also in the 11th. But that's Bradley. He comes to fight. He doesn't care that the guy in front of him is bigger, taller or stronger. He will bring it. That's his best asset to go along with very good natural talents.

I love watching him fight and i think he's going to go far. He's cut from a different cloth. Guys like Ward and Bradley are special IMO.
