I wonder what Tony Oakey is honestly prouder of? The WBU belt or his domestic honours? Could you ask him Billy, reasons why would be great.

Lets not forget lads that the WBA was the original belt -earlier known as the NBA- if memory serves (I think Jack Dempsey fought for it first time against Carpentier)
and the others were introduced thereafter and at one point I'd say (imo anyway) the WBC was considered the most prestigeous yet there was a day when even the WBC was slated by fans who refused to recognise it.

The WBU is below Commonwealth. It is despised for the simple reason that for a number of years a number of domestic or even at times below domestic level fights where labelled World Title Fights. This is a major reason why World Class Boxing has become watered down and it is one of a number of reasons why Boxing means less than "Sports" such as Darts nowadays.
