Michael Bent was not considered a big puncher..he was also dropped by plenty of guys not known as big punches, dropped by Ruddock, (who was a big puncher..so we can forgive that) dropped by Ross Puritty..who was so so and dropped carl williams. Plus when he was hit...he was basically always hurt....now some guys like Wlad can get away with having a not so great chin...massive size..reach....complete skill set...Wlad can get away with, but morrison was a come get you kind of guy, a crude tyson style fighter, and for that style..even if you have great headmovent (morrison didnt have that) your going to get hit....fact that he stood up with foreman was suprising..of course he really ran in that fight.

i thought he did better than most people give him credit for in the Lewis fight, he was up against a man who many consider to be the best HW since Ali, but was TKOed, which is unfortunate, nonetheless was competive, and would be a contender in any era

Very exciting fighter, with an legendary left hook and a questionable chin.
You can forgive his D to Purity (the same to ko Wlad) and blame him for his 1st round loss to Bentt who maybe became the worst beltholder ever because of that. But the guy certainly was everything but a bad fighter and like stated; we could use a guy like that in todays division.

Very fun to watch could really punch, good speed for a heavy but despite all that he was overrated. I think thats cause he was a White/American,Could punch and exciting. I like the guy but i chuckle when people compare him to other top heavys.

That being said Morrison was capable of beating a good heavy when matched up right, but was also capable of losing to a mediocre heavy.

Im not kidding when i tell you stylistically Arreola comes from behind to knockout Tommy in a fight of the year canditate. I could see him getting lucky against Haye(maybe) or Knocking out a smaller heavy like Adamek though.

Did you see Morrisons life and death war with Hipp? Arreola is a bigger harder hitting version, if Hipp just had a little more power Morrison would have been :dead I can see Morrison taking an early lead (ala Mercer) but i think Arreola would hang tough and in a toe to toe slugfest Morrison falls first:yep Arreola ko 6

**** man if you're gonna knit pick fights like that you know arreola has a crap load of terrible performances. ruddock couldn't finish morrison, jiggly arreola isn't either.

Ruddock was past it and his punch resistance was gone when he fought Tommy. I suppose im nit picking when Bentt kod him and when small journeyman Yuri Vaulin gave him all he wanted? Early on Arreola would make Morrison look real good but knowing Tommy his gunslinger style gets him in trouble around the 5th and "The Nightmare" Takes him out in the 6th:bbb:dead

  13. HAD great wars with HIPP and Ruddock, a poor mans Tyson, Lennox raped him, the Foreman fight was a joke, Big George didn't even wanna fight, was there just for the payday...
Screwing all of those whores really messed up is life...
If he would have never caught HIV he probaly would have made another 20-30 million...

Good power and speed, average chin and defence. Rarely in a boring fight, even the one against Foreman had more action than some of current defences.

I could easily see him as a titleholder around 2005, before Klitschkos collected most major belts and boxers like Lyakovich or Maskaev were holding them. The problem is that he would be 35+ at this time, and with his lifestyle it could be hard to compete at the top.
