Do you think Hearns was on the roids when he moved up in 87 and beat Andres? Looked big in the shoulders and strong .No testing back then .what do you think?

Didn't the Hearn's team accuse Leonard of juicing for their rematch?

As to the question, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure the real answer as to how many big athletes used PED's would hurt a lot of fans feelings...

It's possible. Lack of testing + ultra competitive athletes = PED use.

Hearns brought up the subject re: SRL pre-#2 fight.

    We do not know.
But it is absurd to say that you need to be cheating to ID a cheater. Or that an accusation makes it more likely that he is using.
Hearns' frame & height did not make the weight he attained improbable-even without modern weight training.
Show us he did it unusually fast & that might be suggestive.

Maybe you are kidding...He had a huge size advantage over Duran, & given his punching power, that was not a highly imporbable outcome.
Hearns was tall for a MW, defined, but LESS muscle per square inch than an average MW-fuhgetibout a Welter.

Hearns worked hard and built his weight up normally. When someone does something extraordinary, they are on peds? I don't think Tommy was on peds. He accused Ray of that a few days before the fight in 1989. If you say that everytime someone wins a fight or does something great, then you might as well say everyone was on peds. Maybe Hagler was on peds when he beat Hearns in 1985 because he fought great. Duran was on peds when he beat Davey Moore. Hopkins had to be on peds when he beat Tito in 2001. .

Hearns in 1987 made a comment all that food he was going to miss. He was eating more and walked around about 180 at the time, so he could handle that weight. He was almost 6-2..

Possible, but less likely than a lot of others.

That is what I think. He had the height to add on the weight, and still at times he didn't look that strong physically. His punch was harder sometimes than he was physically. and with steroids he would also get stronger. At 168 and 175 he looked a little soft.. At 190 he was not toned. 160 was his last toned weight. I would say no way. Not with his height.

That was at Hearns natural weight where he had been fighting for a couple of years. Nice try
