Has anyone heard of Toney's recent interview? This fat dude is one angry and perhaps needs a couple more snacks or fast food stops. He trying to diss our Latino community by what another fat Chris A. did in his fight kissing a fighter. Toney seems mad since his time pass a while ago and can't get any big names in boxing. Even when he loses he cries and bitches. Was up with all these comments coming from fighters like Toney and Hopkins?
I love when fighters talk trash esp. during press conferences and all that stuff. But on normal interviews is it right for them to throw comments that will offend a race?
Toney vs Chris A. would be a good fight. I don't know why everyone says Toney is done, who beat him recently? Toney has the Winky Wright problem, he doesn't fight regularly to move up the ranks but he thinks because he's Toney that he can call out Haye. Even if he has a shot at beating a fighter like Haye or Christ A, he has to earn that title shot.
Before you get offended... consider the source. James Toney has ALWAYS been like that. The problem is this, OK Toney talked trash AGAIN, now what are you (Boxers) going to do about it? The Klits? They fight guys all the time with lesser names. Why won't they shut him up? Arreola is in a perfect sport to get a nice name on his resume and the title of "retiring" James Toney. Why won't he step up? It is the same song and dance. Boxing is a young man's sport. Not because old men don't want to Box, but because younger men show them that they don't belong there. Why in the hell won't ANY of these so called "fighters" make Toney STFU? Take his cookies!
Good interview. Toney's a great fighter and a great character. He might be a bit coarse and abrasive but he knows his stuff. Shame he's past his best.
