Not a bad idea. This is an intriguing matchup. Both men have declined in recent years - Toney a little farther, from a higher peak.

Why not? Both men should have retired years ago, but since they won't retire... And as much as Toney is washed up, Briggs won't be able to roll over him like he does with the Pizza delivery men he's fighting now. Briggs would have to work hard to get the win... To me this is a 50/50 fight at this point. So Briggs won't take it as there is too much risk involved - all Briggs wants is to get a last big paycheck by getting KOed by Wlad. Therefore Briggs is ducking Toney.
Whoever suggested Briggs vs Mansour had the right idea. That would be a good fight for both men, and would help elevate the winner for sure. Unlike this fight. I also think it would be VERY entertaining. Would like to see Mansour vs Briggs with the winner going on to take on Browne or somebody of his ilk - that would be a good measuring stick as to where they belong in the grand scheme of things I think.
